I’ve been experimenting with free-hand cartooning using brush & ink. This is my second attempt. Not much, but I didn’t spill permanent black ink all over myself, so I’m calling it a success.
I find free-handing in ink a liberating experience:
There is no erasing, there are no “do-overs”, there are no hours lost attempting to get the perspective JUST RIGHT
all you have is your first attempt, warts and all
It forces me to default into a style I am most comfortable with, and turns each picture into an adventure
